That view! But also the location, the manager, the comfy bed, apartment layout... It was not loud either and that surprised us. Would stay again.

Great location but lacking everything else.

The location was excellent. So close to everything. If you are sensitive to sounds, starting at about 4:30 am the street sound is pretty loud. I use a sound machine so it didn’t bother me that much. There was an elevator which was very important on this trip as I had a hurt ankle.

− There wasn’t even a bottle of water when we arrived. Nothing to make it feel homey. No soap for the shower. The only thing that was left for customers was tea and a little thing of Kleenex and a small bottle of multi purpose shampoo/conditioner. No place to put anything in the shower. The bathroom was sooo dark you could barely see anything. The shower water was cold after about 3 minutes. The shower in general was very inconvenient and uncomfortable. I guess I could have overlooked all of that but the part I couldn’t overlook is the lack of a good air conditioner. It was 97 degrees outside and it was essential to have a good working air conditioner. I think the host preset air conditioner during the day and night to be 77 degrees so we woke up sweating horribly both nights. It was horrible. Especially because the host mentioned that the control was “too complicated” to use so left us very uncomfortable and basically with little or no control over room temp.

Convenient, central location to many of Florence's main attractions. Apartment was reasonably well-equipped. Host prearranged a meeting time at the apartment for us to check-in, get keys, etc. and was pleasant and informative.

− Apartment was quite compact, with a small living area, small bedroom, and tiny bathroom. Bedroom mounted A/C unit kept only the bedroom cool. A blanket had yellow stains on it. Host oddly barged in unexpectedly without notice one afternoon wanting to trade out a blanket or comforter she said was the wrong size. The biggest negative of this apartment, however, was that it was extremely noisy from the busy street outside the adjacent Duomo. Loud passersby at all hours of the night made it difficult to sleep. For this reason alone, we would never return here. Being close to the Duomo sounded great, but being a block or two away on a quieter side street would have been much better. You are so close to the Duomo here that all you see is a portion of the building's side anyway, so it is not really a view.
