The location was perfect. Florence is a very walkable city, so while we weren't in heart of the old city, we were usually 10-20 min away by foot from everything we needed. Honestly, it was really nice to be away from the crowds as the crush of tourism can be overwhelming! The apartment is also incredibly close to the train station, if you are coming in or out of the city (I think it was less then 10 minutes to walk, and the streets were relatively even for an old city). The hosts were easy to reach through the online portal (ex: we adjusted our travel dates, and paid for a late checkout). Their team was very responsive, and usually replied back in a few hours. They gave clear check-in instructions too. We were pleasantly surprised by how large the apartment was! Perfect for 2 people, or a couple with a baby/toddler (not sure if hosts would provide a crib, you would need to ask). The kitchen had everything we needed for a short stay. The washing machine was easy to use and the clothesline was right outside on the back patio, which was super convenient. The living room and bedroom were both spacious and comfortable. The bedroom had blinds and curtains to help guests sleep better. Checkout couldn’t have been easier. We left the keys in the lockbox and were on our way. A cleaner arrived as we were leaving and took care of everything. It was such a relief not to be asked to wash dishes, take out the trash, or start a load of laundry. The cleaning fees actually covered the cleaning, which was so refreshing for an apartment rental. The floors didn't creak, the apartment was very clean, it felt like the space has been very well kept over the years. I would definitely stay here again next time I am in Florence, it was a perfect pied-à-terre!

− The lighting above the full length mirror could be better (it's in a pretty dark hallway). That or move the mirror elsewhere, like into the bedroom. We needed to buy more toilet paper, as not enough was provided. We weren't given any hand towels for the washroom and kitchen (only one bath towel and one face towel each, which felt a little stingy). The bathroom is very small (super narrow), which might be uncomfortable if you are more heavyset or have trouble navigating tight spaces. The blow dryer provided didn't fit any of the apartment outlets, which was an unfortunate surprise one morning (it had a European plug, but the prongs were somehow too big?). The staircase up to the apartment is a bit windy and narrow. We're a young and healthy couple, and managed it just fine. But if you are carrying a lot of luggage, have issues with tight spaces, or have trouble with balance, this may be a problem. It is an older building and there is no elevator. While we were not staying in a super busy area, you can still hear the city traffic below, especially if you're a light sleeper (Florence is very popular and this is unavoidable - just the joys of travelling to new places!).

Great location, in the city center, close to the main train station and all main attractions within a 15/20 min walk. The neighborhood has a lot of dining options. The apartment is beautifully decorated and very well arranged. Staff was super helpful.

− The staircase to the apartment is challenging with luggage!

The location. It was clean.

− There was no laundry detergent for the washing machine and we stayed 5 nights. I expected that they would leave a couple of tablets. There were only 3 capsules for the dishwasher. And one of them was damaged. There were olive oil and instant coffee as compliment but no salt, if you decide to have salad.
