Ponte Vecchio - Appartamento Oltrarno Ruby

This was a lovely, clean home-base for spending a week in Florence. We highly recommend it, and hope to stay here again.

Beautiful apartment…hardwood floors, lovely living area, nice kitchenette. The location could not be better…steps away from the Ponte Vecchio, but away from the crowds. Fantastic coffee shop around the corner…excellent restaurants. 5-15 minute walk from any main attraction. We arrived in the evening but the self-check-in process was simple.

Wonderful appartamento in lovely neighborhood, laundry, air con, spacious.

Clean, close to many food options and shopping. Neighborhood was wonderful. Loved having two bathrooms, separate beds for the kids, access to laundry (washing) machine. Kitchen was adequately equipped. We really enjoyed the unique architecture of the appartamento and appreciated that it was just up one flight of stairs. Felt safe and secure as well. The best part of the stay might have been the wonderful communication with property. We arrived well before usual check in hours and they allowed us early entry, which was wonderful with kids and luggage coming from the train. Florence was hot but there were air con units to cool off a bit and they have fans also. Vibrant neighborhood but with the windows closed it was pretty quiet, white noise machine helped at night if you prefer.

− Primary bedroom had a slight sewer smell but either I got used to it or it went away and I didn’t notice it after first day.

LOCATION, clean, spacious and in a quiet area but with numerous restaurants, cafes…in the immediate area. The host (Monica) was wonderful!

Charming old building with new & modern equipment

Charming very old building lovingly restored with modern conveniences including very effective HVAC. Beautiful hardwood floors & furniture. Hostess met us there and gave a tour. Great location at Ponte Vecchio and Boboli on less touristy side of river.

Our host was wonderful, meeting us in person for a warm welcome and even calling a local restaurant to secure a dinner reservation for us. The location is incredibly central and convenient. While there was some nearby construction noise, it didn't bother us, and though the thick walls of the historic building kept the apartment a bit cool, the host was very responsive and helped us adjust the heating to make it perfectly comfortable. Having access to a washing machine was a huge plus - a great stay with top-notch hospitality!
