Clean and bright basement apartment, half a flight down. Located in a nice and quiet neighborhood in central London.

− The sofa bed mattress was still wrapped in plastic, and the frame creaked in a way that made it impossible to sleep on, which lowers the rating of the accommodation since we depended on the extra sleeping spaces. The bedside lamps, as well as several of the ceiling lights, were not working, and although we pointed out these issues, the host did not fix them during our stay, nor offered us any compensation.

This was a lovely and clean flat, with everything you needed for a stay in London. It was ideal, as there were 3 of us staying. There was a separate bedroom with a double sofa bed made up in the main room. This also allowed some privacy between us and our daughter. There is an en-suite shower room, which was adequate for our needs, with plenty of hot water. Just be careful as the shower tray can be slippy, a rubber mat equivalent would be helpful. The sitting room/dining/kitchen was a large room, with a tv, dining table and kitchen, which had everything from a microwave to a washing machine. There’s also a large fridge and freezer, more than enough room for our wine and ice cream! The location is excellent for seeing all the sights, it’s also easy to get to Wembley Stadium using the underground. There is High Street Kensington Underground less than a 5 minute walk away, with the High Street having everything you need and more. Finally, all communication with the owner was excellent. A WhatsApp group was set up, providing us with all our entry details etc. This was so much easier than dealing with emails!

Location is very good near to the station

− The double bed was not the one advertised and on enquiry I was told it was changed as it had been damaged by previous guests. I think I should have been informed of this and the one in situ was also damaged. It was dangerous to sit on the end of it as it collapsed. There was NO jumping on the bed-it was damaged. The contact asked for a photo which I supplied but there was no follow-up. The advert did not specify it was a basement flat with steep stairs to negotiate with a buggy. It was a clean apartment and we left it in the same condition. The best thing about it was that it was clean, although you would surely expect that and the location was excellent. It was also very safe with a double entrance. The flat was cold in the evenings although there were electric wall heaters. They would only heat to a certain temp. and not as we required it. The extra heater in the wardrobe was not adequate. There was an extra duvet supplied but it had no cover and looked grubby. These things were not what one expects in a "luxury flat" the description given in the advert. The contact did respond when contacted but the attitude that I experienced was that there would be no contact after 6pm, and generally little interest in your problems if there were any. How can one know if you will have no issues after 6pm? You would not wish to disturb anyone in the evening but to say it would not be entertained was not professional. The emphasis was on your vacating the flat.

L'appartement est très bien situé et permet de visiter Londres facilement, d'aller se promener dans le parc ou d'accéder au métro rapidement. Le lieu est calme. Nous avons passé un séjour à 4 et l'appartement était très adapté à ce nombre. Les indications pour l'arrivée et le départ étaient très claires, ce qui nous a permis d'arriver facilement.

− La literie manquait un peu de confort mais sinon, tout s'est bien passé.
