Disappointing, damaged apartment, but - most importantly - unhygienic for children.

We liked the owner. We liked the location, which was close to Bosphorus and not too busy compared to other Istanbul areas. Also, we liked that it was opposite the Ortakoy and Arnavutkoy area under the first bridge, which is the finishing line for the Bosphorus Cross Continental Swim, which I attended as a swimmer and needed to be not to close from. The garden in the property was also very nice and the apartment has air-conditioning.

− We were very sad about several issues. We traveled with my wife, sister and son, which made some of these issues even worse. First. the mattress in my son's room was dirty and had bed bugs. Many of us felt itching and we saw visible small animals and dirt in one mattress/bed linen where my son slept until we removed him and put him in our bed instead. Second, on the second and third night we had multiple cockroaches in the bathroom and one also went in the kitchen. This is a very dirty sign and spreads diseases if not properly exterminated. Third, the bathroom smelt bad, it clogged continuously when showering, the toilet seat wasn't properly screwed on and there were big patches of rust and humidity next to the sink. Fourth, the cupboards were broken or damaged. In addition, the plinths on the bottom of the walls kept on coming loose and off all across the kitchen and living space. Fifth, all the doorbells of the entire house were connected meaning that everyone who needed to use office downstairs or other apartment rang continuously in the mornings which also woke my son up when he was napping. This type of issues are too problematic and necessitate Booking to act. First, to prevent that it occurs again, especially with a family with infants or anyone else seeking to enjoy a holiday. Secondly, to refund our costs (at minimum) and compensate for a very difficult stay otherwise if possible. Also, I would like to add that we took pictures and are happy to provide them/send them. We hope to receive full refund considering the circumstances. We also hope that these damages and issues are repaired for the next family or individuals staying at the hotel apartment.
