The hotel itself is really beautiful. I thought the location was good, short walk to the centre of the Medina

− The bathroom, like others have mentioned the water gets everywhere! The noise from the rooftop restaurant is also unnecessary. It was quiet while I stayed and probably a max of 1-2 patrons yet the music was blasting till midnight. Upon check in I was just approached by someone by the door and they just took my bags up to my room after confirming my first name. Was a little surprised about this but I didn’t actually meet the hotels manager until day three. Also whenever I would head up for breakfast there was rarely any staff around. One morning I arrived at 830, no one was there so kept going back up and down several times until finally being greeted by a waiter after 9:30am. Given there weren’t many customers staying at the hotel the service seemed slow and there seemed to be little staff about - or aware about the few customers on site. Also the taxi to the airport was very late. I organised this through the hotel thinking this would be more reliable than hailing a petit taxi at 6am. But the taxi was nearly 20mins late. This caused me to nearly miss my check in at the airport!
