Incredible location comfortable cost and value for money

Absolutely fantastic stay — 10/10! The location is honestly hard to beat if you want to experience real central Amsterdam. Everything is within walking distance — canals, restaurants, cafés, shopping, and major attractions — yet the street itself feels surprisingly peaceful. The room was exactly as described: clean, comfortable, and full of authentic Amsterdam character. Staying in a canal house gives a much more personal and memorable experience than a generic hotel. The host was communicative, welcoming, and helpful throughout the stay, providing clear instructions and useful local recommendations. The atmosphere felt friendly and well-organized. For guests booking a shared accommodation, expectations should be realistic — this is a lived-in Amsterdam home, which actually adds to the charm and authenticity of the experience. The shared spaces were maintained well, and everything needed for a comfortable stay was available. If you are looking for a centrally located, authentic Amsterdam stay with a local touch instead of an impersonal hotel, this is an excellent choice. Would definitely stay again.

The only acceptable thing about this accomodation is the location. The best part of the stay is leaving it.

− The owner of the apartment, who lives in the bedroom next to you, violated his own house rules several times. We were heavily disturbed at night. After 12pm midnight the owner came with another person inside the apartment and loudly vomited in the bathroom. Also he left his personal belongings such as toothbrushes and used bath robes in the bathroom. This is another violation of his own house rules. He contacted us multiple times during our stay via WhatsApp and accused us for example of not closing the doors, whereas he has no proof that it was us. Also he complained about my girlfriend wearing high heels. I contacted booking.com and the apartment owner to ask for a refund for those inconveniences. In the answer I received from the owner, he insulted me as a "coward", "disrespectful" and a "liar". On top of that he admitted that he installed surveillance cameras in and around the building. Which demonstrates a strong violation of European Union data protection laws. The 30€ late check-in price can't be paid with credit card, as I asked for. You also dont receive a bill for that. So it is questionable how much of this is stated in the annual tax report. To sum up all of the mentioned facts: if you want to have a great time in Amsterdam make sure to not book this place. Even if the price for this stay is reduced by half, it wouldn't be worth it.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at this accommodation! The location couldn’t be better — it’s incredibly central, which made exploring the city so easy and enjoyable. Everything was within walking distance, and being so close to everything really enhanced my trip. The room was spotless. It was very clean, fresh, and well maintained, which made me feel comfortable right away. You can tell that a lot of care goes into keeping the place in excellent condition. Communication with both the host and co-host was seamless. They were friendly, responsive, and very helpful from start to finish. Check-in was smooth, and any questions I had were answered quickly and clearly. Overall, it was a fantastic experience. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a clean, central, and well-managed place to stay. I will absolutely be back! 😊
