Pleasant
6.0Location is amazing
− The second bedroom had a terrible smell
Beautiful suite, great location, but the problems mentioned were annoyances.
9.0Beautiful suite
− We could not get the burners on the stove to work! Tried everything. No instructions were available. Given only one key. This made it hard for my friend and I to travel alone. Only able to contact mangers by e-mail. No answer when we called and not given the option of leaving a message.
Bad
1.0Nothing
− Very Old building Very small elevator Very hard to get the keys Bad public parking
STAY AWAY! BEYOND TERRIBLE!
1.0− DO NOT STAY AT ANY MERVEIL PARIS PROPERTIES!! They were very unprofessional from start to finish. Prior to arrival they provided me with the codes to get into a completely DIFFERENT apartment than the one we rented. I asked them to reassure me that no one else received the codes to the apartment we actually paid to rent (they did not confirm this prior to arrival). Upon arrival 2 of us got stuck in the elevator for 10 minutes (a very traumatic experience to say the least). Once we finally entered the apartment we were greeted with a note welcoming another guest… I called the property manager immediately and they told me they couldn’t help/do anything until the morning because their manager was off duty at the time… I told the man we didn’t feel safe and were concerned others had the code to enter the apartment during the same time we were there.. he basically laughed at me and also said all the hotels are sold out and we wouldn’t be able to find an alternative place to stay. He lied and tried to discourage us from leaving so they wouldn’t have to refund us our money. We didn’t stay the night because we felt unsafe and didn’t want to risk having another guest (or someone else) join us in the middle of the night. We also would not have felt comfortable leaving our luggage/belongings there during the day. By this point we didn’t trust the property managers and weren’t sure who would have access to the flat during the day. Merveil Paris is a very shady property management firm and they don’t own up to their mistakes… They won’t refund me my money and now I’m out over $3,000 (between the accommodation costs they won’t refund and transfers between their apartment and a hotel we ended up booking). ABSOLUTELY terrible experience. STAY AWAY from all Merveil Paris apartments!!!
Disappointing
4.0− By far one of the worst check in experiences I've had since I've lived in Europe! I arrived in Paris at 1 and wasn't able to actually get into the flat until almost 5. Communication with the host was horrible, and the worst part...they gave me the wrong keys and directed me to go into a flat that was already in use and I walked in on a man sleeping! When I called to explain what had happened, they asked me to go back into the flat with the man and to take a photo. Which I refused and had to actually request if someone could please come to the building to figure out what was going on. So disappointing! My parents were in town visiting and unfortunately this was their first experience of Paris. I understand that mistakes happen and there are challenges when new staff are hired, but handing out the wrong keys and giving access to other guests rooms is unacceptable. Would not recommend based on my experience here.
