I wish we stayed longer in this place and can recommend it to anyone.

It was an absolute delight to stay here whilst in Kyoto. The host was so charming and caring. When you arrive he sits down with you and goes over the Kyoto map with you. During your stay he checks in when he crosses you to see if everything is still okay. The room itself was clean and cozy, just like the rest of the place.

− This didn’t bother us since it was summer and really hot but something to be aware of is that to go to the bathroom and shower you have to go outside. It’s underneath a roof but some parts are still open. So during winter this might be less pleasant.

The owner is very kind and helpful in giving information about traveling in Kyoto. Very comfortable environment to chill and relax. There are many onsen nearby; unfortunately, I didn't try them out. They have their own laundry machine (it's 200yen); however, if you want fast drying, then you have to go out to the nearby laundry shop. P.S. You can hang your wet clothes inside the house.

− Nighttime needs to be considerate of neighbors. Cannot be too noisy or loud because the wall is thin; it might disturb others. The street is very quiet at night, and all the shops are closed early, except a few restaurants that are still open until 10/11pm.
