Great stay in a lovely hotel
9.0Everything was good, staff went over and above. The welcome gift was appreciated. Food there is good and reasonable for Amsterdam prices. Breakfast was a very good selection of cooked food and pastries.
− The light in the toilet coming on automatically when the door was opened, getting up at 3am to use the facilities meant it was not a pleasant thing!
Very lovely and comfortable place to stay
9.0Very attractive property with lots of greenery. The staff were very attentive and friendly. The rooms seemed very sound proofed. The hotel restaurant and bars were excellent.
− Nothing in way of shops or restaurants in the vicinity. Central Station is about a 30 minute walk.
Pretentious but not even meeting basic standards of hospitality
2.0The champagne bar on level 8 was nice
− The room I booked did not mirror the room they gave me. I was paying €500 per night for a standard room with a single bed, they refused to do anything about it. It’s far away from everything, no shops close and they don’t even give a complimentary bottle of water let alone a mini bar to buy from. The restaurant was by far the worst I’ve had in a long time. Despite telling them I’m allergic to mushrooms they brought me salmon with slices of mushroom on it. The staff were rude when I said I couldn’t eat it, begrudgingly they re-made and returned me raw salmon. I actually hated it so bad here I only stayed 1 night instead of 3.

− It is a bit more difficult to walk to major sites but it was perfect for using Uber to get around.
