8.0The hotel and staff were really good. The only disappointment for me was the quality of the bed/Mattress. I didn’t sleep well and my back was painful.

8.0Overall was generally clean, though a couple stains on the carpet and bench. Not a bad location, but not amazing. Good food nearby. Was on the 6 floor and when they cleaned the rooms, the hallways smelled wet and like mildew with all the sheets piled in the hall. The blinds did nothing to keep out the light, so I needed to wear a sleep mask. I would stay again but I’d probably look at other options first.

10.0Hotel is in walking distance from the Kyoto Metro stations and the Nijo Castle. Japanese style breakfast is served each morning.

10.0This is a great little hotel near walkable sites. But a bit of a walk to a train station, about 15min. Clean and comfortable room but the bed was rock hard, possibly the hardest I’ve ever slept on. Also the breakfast was traditional Japanese every morning with no other options. And you could sometimes smell smoke from the smoking room at the back. I would stay again. Lovely staff.
